Xavier Ouin

A graduate of the École polytechnique and the Corps des mines, Xavier Ouin began his career at the Ministry of Defence and then at the Ministry of Industry, where he was head of the nuclear affairs department. He joined SNCF in 1998 and held various positions in the regional divisions before being appointed Director of Industrial Production for the SNCF Infra branch. There he oversaw production and industrial performance in maintenance and works on the national rail network. From 2014, as Director General of Equipment, Xavier Ouin was in charge of controlling the processes that contribute to the robustness and overall coordination of operations at the level of the SNCF Mobilités epic. In addition, he is also Chairman of the Masteris subsidiary, which markets rolling stock maintenance, engineering and renovation solutions in France and Europe. In October 2017, he was appointed Industrial Director of SNCF Mobilités, in addition to his position as Managing Director of SNCF Matériel. In January 2026, he was appointed Director of Passenger Safety and retained his duties as Industrial Director.
