Committed to sustainable development

- 2024
- The first hybrid TER makes its debut in commercial service on the lines of four partner regions during the year. Using alternatively electric power, combustion engines or energy stored in batteries, these trains generate up to 20% energy savings and a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.
- end 2025
- The first TER trains, whose diesel engines will have been replaced by lithium batteries, will be put into service, with up to 85% less CO2 emissions and zero local pollution.
- 2026
- The first hydrogen TERs combining fuel cells, hydrogen tanks and batteries will be deployed in four regional networks. In Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, SNCF Voyageurs has taken on the project management of the hydrogen distribution station for these new trains...
