It is regularly observed that passengers remain on board trains after the terminus and find themselves trapped in railway rights-of-way that constitute safety hazards. These events are mainly due to a lack of attention on the part of passengers, and occur despite the precautions taken by SNCF Voyageurs (audible announcements, lights out, etc.).

This is why, in addition to the measures already in place, SNCF Voyageurs is testing an artificial intelligence system on board certain Transilien trains, capable of detecting the presence of people on board the train after commercial service has ended, based on automatic analysis of images from the video protection system.

SNCF Voyageurs uses the video-protection system on certain Transilien trains to carry out this processing.

Your personal data is used to detect the presence of people who have remained on board the train before it leaves for the garage or maintenance workshop.

Passenger information is displayed on board the trains concerned.

The use of your data is based on SNCF Voyageurs' legitimate interest in ensuring your safety and preventing intrusions into railway premises.

The data used for processing are :

    - Images from on-board video protection cameras.

Your data will be kept for a maximum of 30 days.

Your data may be communicated to the SNCF internal departments in charge of the solution in order to check that the system is operating correctly.

Your data is hosted in France. It is not transferred outside the European Union.

No automated decisions are made on the basis of your data.

When the device detects a person remaining on board, an alert is sent to the driver, who checks the on-board video protection system screen for the presence of a passenger and evacuates the vehicle in complete safety, if necessary.

Within the limits and conditions authorized by the regulations in force, you may exercise your right to access, rectify, delete, limit and oppose the use of your personal data, as well as your right to define the directives applicable to the conservation, deletion and communication of such data after your death.
