    Images are recorded to ensure the safety of people and property, and to prevent acts of terrorism in stations and on board trains.

    Information for users and passengers is posted in stations and on board trains.

    The use of your data is based on the public interest mission of SNCF Voyageurs to ensure the safety of people and property in stations and on board trains under the conditions provided for in Article L 251-2 of the Code of Internal Security.

    The data used for processing are :

    • Images recorded by the cameras,
    • The day, time and place of recording,
    • In the event of consultation, modification, extraction, communication and deletion of personal data, the identifier of the author, the date, the time, the reason for the operation and, where applicable, the recipients of the data.

    Your data is kept for a period of :

    • 30 days maximum for images, day, time slot and place of recording;
    • 3 years maximum for information relating to consultation, modification, extraction, communication and deletion of personal data.

    Where data has, within this period, been extracted and transmitted for the purposes of judicial, administrative or disciplinary proceedings, it is retained by the authority responsible in accordance with the rules specific to each of these proceedings.

    Video protection systems that film public thoroughfares and places open to the public are required by law. Their installation is authorized by the local prefect.

    Data may be accessed solely for the purposes of their missions:

    • SNCF Voyageurs operators and agents, individually designated and duly authorized and, where applicable, private operators acting on behalf of SNCF Voyageurs;
    • Specially authorized persons from departments responsible for processing or monitoring administrative, legal or disciplinary proceedings, in particular SNCF Voyageurs legal departments;
    • Individually designated and duly authorized agents of the police or national gendarmerie units.

    Your data is hosted in France. It is not transferred outside the European Union.

    The use of your data does not result in any automated decision-making.

    If automated image analysis is involved, you will be informed of this on a special notice board in the station or train concerned.

    Within the limits and conditions authorized by the regulations in force, you may exercise your right to access, rectify and delete your data, as well as your right to define the directives applicable to the conservation, deletion and communication of such data after your death. You can exercise these rights by sending us your request via the form corresponding to the SNCF Voyageurs service you are using:

    If, after contacting us, you feel that your rights have not been respected, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL.
