Transport of athletes by train

With the ambition of making the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games a responsible and sustainable event, we're accompanying athletes on their train journeys.

In Paris and throughout France, no fewer than 15,000 athletes will be traveling to the various event venues this summer. We are therefore providing rail transport for some of the teams of athletes and referees. It's a role we've already played for major sporting events held in France, such as the Euro soccer tournament in 2016 and the Rugby World Cup in 2023.

National teams on track

SNCF Voyageurs carriers are mobilized to accompany in sports trains:

Men's and women's soccer and basketball teams, as well as soccer and handball referees, will travel on TGV INOUI;
In addition, Eurostar Group will be the official rail carrier for the Olympic and Paralympic delegations from Great Britain, Belgium and the Netherlands for the Paris 2024 Games;
Finally, TGV Lyria is also the official partner of the Swiss Olympic Team and the Swiss Paralympic Team and will transport the Swiss delegations to the Paris 2024 Games.
