Your personal data is used for the purposes of :
- managing and recovering tickets for rail transport offences, detecting habitual fraud and intentionally declaring a false address/identity,
- communication to the Public Prosecutor's Office for the recovery of increased fines,
- reliability of identification data, via interconnection with third-party databases, to improve collection of fines,
- production of anonymous statistics.
The use of your data is based on SNCF Voyageurs' public interest mission of investigating, recording and prosecuting offences against the rail transport police under the conditions set out in Article L. 2241-1 of the French Transport Code.
The personal data used for processing are :
- Your identity details
- The number and signature of the ticketing officer
- Your contact details
- Your payment details
- Your travel data
- Claims data
Your data will be kept for one year, and then archived during the applicable statute of limitations.
Your data is kept for one year and then archived for the duration of the legal prescription in force.
For online payment, the nature of the offence, your name and your ticket number are required.
Your data may be communicated :
- To authorized agents of SNCF Group companies and service providers (bailiffs, collection companies) responsible for collecting sums due under the transaction mentioned in Article 529-4 of the Code of Criminal Procedure,
- The authorities responsible for investigating complaints lodged by SNCF Voyageurs,
- SNCF Voyageurs agents in charge of claims management and mediation,
- To the Public Prosecutor's Office, in the event of an increased fixed fine,
- Third-party organizations for the purposes of improving the reliability and enriching the data required to collect fines.
In this respect, the personal data you have declared at the time of recording the offence may be communicated to the single legal entity mentioned in article L2241-2-1 of the French Transport Code for the purpose of verifying your identity and address.

Your data is hosted in France. It is not transferred outside the European Union.
The use of your data does not give rise to any automated decision-making.
The right to object does not apply to the communication of your personal data to public administrations and social security bodies for the purposes of verifying your identity and address.
Within the limits and conditions authorized by the regulations in force, you may exercise your right to access, rectify and delete your personal data, your right to limit the use of your personal data and your right to define the directives applicable to the conservation, deletion and communication of your personal data after your death.
