30 per cent discount valid for the cardholder and one accompanying adult aged 12 or over:

• on single journeys every day, provided the cardholder is travelling with a toddler (under 4 years old) or a child (aged 4 to 11 inclusive)
• on single journeys on Saturdays or Sundays
• on return journeys including at least one night on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday. The maximum period between the outward and return journeys is 61 days and cannot be extended in the event of a ticket exchange.
  

If eligibility for the Avantage fare is conditional on travelling with a child or toddler, the child or toddler must be present and in possession of a valid ticket (accompanying child ticket or toddler fare) when tickets are checked on board the train. An accompanying passenger (adult or child) who has benefited from a discount linked to the Avantage fare on the Carte liberté must travel with the holder of the corresponding Carte liberté.

This offer is reserved for Carte liberté cardholders with the Avantage fare, and one accompanying passenger aged 12 or over, provided the ticket is purchased at the same time as the Carte liberté cardholder’s ticket. The discount is calculated, excluding additional paid services, on the full second- and first-class fares for trains requiring compulsory booking (TGV INOUI and INTERCITÉS, excluding OUIGO) and on the ‘Normal’ fare for INTERCITÉS trains without compulsory booking, for tickets valid for 7 days. Discounts apply within France.

A price cap is guaranteed for the cardholder and one accompanying adult under the Avantage fare, per journey and based on the average journey time observed for a direct journey without a connection. €49 incl. VAT: guaranteed maximum price for a ticket for a journey of less than 1 hour 30 minutes, €69 incl. VAT: guaranteed maximum price for a ticket for a journey of less than 3 hours, €89 incl. VAT: guaranteed maximum price for a ticket for a journey of more than 3 hours in France in second class on a direct journey. Fixed price until the train departs. Prices valid until 31 August 2024.

THE CARTE LIBERTÉ’S ‘AVANTAGE’ FARE OFFERS A 60% DISCOUNT FOR ACCOMPANYING CHILDREN

Offer valid for up to 3 accompanying children aged 4 to 11 inclusive, provided the ticket is purchased at the same time as the Carte liberté cardholder’s ticket at the Avantage fare.

The discount is calculated, excluding additional paid services, on the Full Second and First Class fares for trains requiring compulsory booking (TGV INOUI and INTERCITÉS, excluding OUIGO), or on the ‘Normal’ fare for INTERCITÉS trains without compulsory booking for tickets valid for 7 days. Discounts apply within France. The Carte liberté with the Avantage fare entitles the holder to a 15% discount on the On-board Catering, Mes bagages and Junior & Cie services. Offers subject to conditions.

If eligibility for the Avantage fare is conditional on travelling with a child or toddler, the child or toddler must be present during ticket inspection on board the train. An accompanying person (adult or child) who has benefited from a discount linked to the Avantage fare on the Carte liberté must travel with the holder of the corresponding Carte liberté.

CHANGING OR REFUNDING AN AVANTAGE FARE TICKET

A free exchange and refund service is available up to and including 7 days before departure.

From 6 days before departure, a fee of €19 per person per journey applies on TGV INOUI, and 40 per cent of the ticket price (with a maximum fee of €15) applies on INTERCITÉS (booking required).

From 30 minutes before departure up to the time of departure, exchanges are possible (maximum of 1) subject to the same fees as stated above. Tickets exchanged within this timeframe are non-refundable. The charge is applied only once for journeys involving one or more connections. Tickets are non-exchangeable and non-refundable after the train has departed, unless the ticket was made available again before departure.

SPECIFIC CONDITIONS FOR THE EXCHANGE OR CANCELLATION OF RETURN TICKETS AT THE ‘AVANTAGE ADULTE’ RATE UNDER THE ‘Carte liberté’ SCHEME

Initial booking eligible for the Carte Avantage discount: if the cancellation or exchange of one of the two journeys results in the loss of the conditions for the Carte Avantage discount, the exchanged ticket will be re-priced at the fare applicable on the day of the exchange. The ticket that has not been exchanged will be re-priced at the full fare applicable on the date of the original ticket purchase.​

Initial booking not eligible for the Adult Advantage discount: if the exchange of a return journey makes the booking eligible for the Carte Avantage Adulte discount, the exchanged ticket (outward or return) will then benefit from the Carte Avantage Adulte discount. The ticket that has not been exchanged does not qualify for the Avantage discount.

2/ Amortisation applied to 10 TGV INOUI destinations departing from Paris (Nantes, Rennes, Bordeaux, Strasbourg, Lille, Lyon, Grenoble, Marseille, Aix-en-Provence TGV and Avignon TGV), comprising 50 per cent of journeys in Second Class and 50 per cent in OPTIMUM Class or First Class. Amortisation calculated based on the difference between the
Liberté second-class fare and the Pro second-class fare (fare available only with an FCE code) and the difference between the Liberté first-class or Liberté OPTIMUM fare and the Flex Première or OPTIMUM fare over 6 combined journeys. Fares valid from 19/11/2025; card price of €349.00 (including VAT) valid from 19/11/2025.

PRICE OF THE Carte liberté WITH A Contrat Pro: €299 including VAT

Price valid from 29 February 2024, excluding promotions and negotiated discounts, and subject to a valid FCE code.

Card available to anyone aged 12 or over. Purchase and use of the card are subject to parental authorisation for all underage holders. Validity period: one year from the start date specified by the customer at the time of purchase. This date must fall within a maximum of 6 months from the date of purchase of the card, inclusive of that date.

An FCE code can be obtained by completing the ‘Contrat Pro’ form with a valid SIRET number and NAF code on SNCF Voyageurs.com.

Discount cards are on sale at TGV INOUI Service Points in stations, at SNCF Voyageurs-approved travel agencies or by telephone on 3635

4/ 45% discount on Flex Première first class or on OPTIMUM and OPTIMUM PLUS classes, calculated on the basis of the Flex Première first-class fare, excluding any surcharges for OPTIMUM and OPTIMUM PLUS fares. 60% discount on second class based on the Flex Première first-class fare. Discounts are available exclusively to Carte liberté holders, excluding any additional paid services, and are valid on TGV INOUI and INTERCITÉS trains where booking is compulsory (excluding OUIGO). Discounts apply within France, as well as on TGV INOUI services to and from Freiburg im Breisgau and Luxembourg. On INTERCITÉS trains without compulsory booking, the discount is 50 per cent, calculated on the ‘Normal’ fare for the class travelled in. 5/ Offer reserved for Carte liberté holders. Discounts of 45% in first class and 60% in second class are reserved for Carte liberté holders. A single, fixed fare corresponding to a calculated discount – excluding any additional paid services – on the Flex Première fare for TGV INOUI trains to Luxembourg, Spain, Freiburg im Breisgau and Brussels; on the Liberté PRIMA fare for TGV INOUI trains to Italy; and on the Full Flex fare for TGV INOUI and ICE trains to Germany operated by DB SNCF Voyageurs in cooperation.

On TGV Lyria trains to and from Switzerland, a 40 per cent discount in Première Signature class, calculated on the day’s Première Signature fare, a 40 per cent discount in Première class, calculated on the day’s Flex Première fare and offered only when Première Signature class is no longer available; and a 50 per cent discount in Standard class, calculated on the day’s Standard Flex fare, excluding additional paid services.

Discount calculated on the Avantage fare, excluding additional paid services, based on the Second or First Class fare for TGV INOUI trains to Luxembourg, Spain, Freiburg im Breisgau and Brussels, and on TGV INOUI and ICE trains operated by DB SNCF Voyageurs in cooperation to Germany; on the Second or First Class fares for TGV INOUI trains to Italy; and on the Standard or First Class fares for TGV Lyria trains.

6/ Tickets may be exchanged or refunded free of charge up to 30 minutes after departure. From 30 minutes before departure, only one exchange is permitted. Tickets exchanged from 30 minutes before departure are non-refundable. The ticket is neither exchangeable nor refundable after 30 minutes following departure.

7/ The Guaranteed Exchange service applies to any exchange made on the day of departure. Exchanges are possible for another train on the same day, on the same route as the original journey. It is possible to obtain a ticket on fully booked trains, but without a guarantee of a seat and subject to the maximum number of standing places available.
For holders of an OPTIMUM PLUS fare, the catering service is no longer provided following an exchange. Passengers may be refused the Guaranteed Exchange on a fully booked train, particularly in the event of overcrowding that jeopardises passenger safety. From 30 minutes before the original train’s departure, the number of exchanges is limited to one per customer. Exchanges are free of charge up to 30 minutes after departure. Tickets are neither exchangeable nor refundable from 30 minutes after departure. Passengers holding an OPTIMUM or OPTIMUM PLUS ticket are entitled to a free exchange on the day of departure on OUIGO trains, solely on the day of departure and on the same route, using the TGV INOUI PRO app. Once the ticket has been exchanged for an OUIGO train, the passenger is subject to OUIGO’s General Terms and Conditions of Sale. OUIGO tickets are non-exchangeable and non-refundable.

8/ Additional benefits with the Liberté fare on the Carte liberté:
Services reserved for customers holding a Flex Première ticket or tickets in the OPTIMUM and OPTIMUM PLUS classes, Liberté Première, negotiated Première fares and discounted Première fares.

Accès Express, Grand Voyageur lounges, Portail TGV INOUI. For holders of an OPTIMUM / OPTIMUM PLUS ticket, on-platform services are available on certain TGV INOUI services and at certain times on the relevant routes and at the relevant stations, as well as a dedicated quiet area.

Accès Express is available every day on all TGV INOUI trains at Paris Gare de Lyon, Paris Montparnasse, Paris Nord, Paris Est, Nantes, Bordeaux, Rennes, Lille Flandres, Lyon Part-Dieu, Lyon Perrache, Marseille and Montpellier Sud de France.

Accès Express to ticket offices is available every day, subject to the opening hours of the ticket office, at Paris Gare de Lyon, Paris Montparnasse, Paris Nord, Paris Est, Nantes, Bordeaux, Rennes, Lille Flandres, Lille Europe, Strasbourg, Lyon Part-Dieu, Marseille, Grenoble and CDG 2 Airport.

Access to the 12 Grand Voyageur lounges is guaranteed every day from Monday to Sunday, subject to the lounge’s opening hours.

The platform service is available on weekdays during peak times (mornings and late afternoons) on TGV INOUI trains between Paris and Nantes, Bordeaux, Rennes, Lille Flandres, Strasbourg, Lyon Part-Dieu, Lyon Perrache, Marseille and Montpellier Saint Roch.

RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL FOLLOWING THE PURCHASE OF A CARTE LIBERTÉ

The right of withdrawal under Articles L.221-18 to L.221-28 of the Consumer Code, which allows customers to change their mind within 14 days of the card’s purchase date if they have not travelled using a discount offered by the Carte liberté, applies. Therefore, once the 14-day period following purchase has elapsed, a request to exercise the right of withdrawal is no longer admissible and the card is no longer refundable, even if the start date of validity has not yet passed.
