Direct ticket
If you purchase a ticket involving one or more connections, you may be entitled to specific new rights in the event of a delay in arriving at your final destination.
What is a ‘Billet Direct’?
The Direct Ticket combines all the tickets for a journey comprising one or more connections, provided that the minimum and maximum connection times set by SNCF Voyageurs are observed and that the purchase is made in a single transaction.
The Direct Ticket therefore constitutes an end-to-end contract.
It guarantees passengers assistance in the event of a missed connection. It also entitles passengers tocompensation¹ based on the time of arrival at the final destination and the total ticket price.
Your journey involving a connection must be with TGV INOUI, OUIGO or INTERCITÉS, or regional trains operated by SNCF Voyageurs on :
- National routes;
- international routes operated by SNCF Voyageurs: Paris–Fribourg, Paris–Barcelona, Paris–Milan;
- the French sections of the following routes: France–Germany, France–Switzerland, France–Belgium, France–Luxembourg and France–Italy.
In the case of Eurostar, your journey must include connecting journeys operated exclusively by this carrier.
For further information, download the document on the rights and obligations of rail passengers.
