With over 200 destinations, criss-crossing France from north to south and from east to west, our TGVs (TGV INOUI and OUIGO) are a familiar sight across the countryside.

Since 2020, high-speed lines have been open to competition under the open-access scheme.

Our INTERCITÉS trains, both day and night services, are now strengthening their presence across the regions, offering medium- and long-distance journeys accessible to all. The operation of certain lines is ensured through an agreement with the State, the organising authority: these are the Trains d’Équilibre duTerritoire¹(Regional Balance Trains), or trains of regional interest. Since December 2023, the renewal of these contracts has also been subject to a tender process.

Thanks to our know-how and expertise as an established operator, as well as our capacity for innovation in both services and technology, we view competitive tendering as a catalyst in our pursuit of performance and competitiveness.

This opening up of the market also offers us the opportunity to continue our expansion in the European market, drawing on our experience with Eurostar and TGV Lyria.

1/ The Trains d’Équilibre du Territoire (TET) provide a fast mainline service between major French cities not connected by high-speed rail. They also help to improve access to remote areas via inter-regional province-to-province routes. These are medium- and long-distance trains that fulfil a national public service role. The State is the organising authority for the TET.
