Relations with National Consumer Organisations

A protocol governing relations with the National Consumers’ Associations has been in place since 1990. It enables us to discuss changes to the products and services introduced by SNCF Voyageurs and to gather ideas for improvements we could make.

    An institutionalised protocol

The representatives meet as the Advisory Council twice a year, chaired by the CEO of SNCF Voyageurs.

At these meetings, theassociations¹ can raise issues directly with him regarding key matters affecting the passenger experience or the proposed direction in light of regulatory and legal developments.

Outside of the Consultative Councils, the associations may contact SNCF Voyageurs directly regarding problems encountered whilst travelling, in order to provide clarification for their members.

Discussions with local management teams at SNCF Voyageurs across the country

The various local offices of SNCF Voyageurs are in regular contact with representatives of consumer organisations, thereby enabling feedback to be gathered at the local level and customer grievances to be addressed.

    Thematic meetings and visits

Thematic meetings and visits are organised with representatives appointed by the associations to explain the conditions under which SNCF Voyageurs’ products and services are delivered.

For example: a tour of the Operations Centre that oversees our train services, discussions on developments in customer service, and exchanges with the ‘Train + Bike’ project managers at SNCF Voyageurs, etc.
